Future Shelter
I just wanted to take a bit of time to write about my Sister, Jane.
She lives in Perth, Australia, and she has her own workshop/design studio and a shop called Future Shelter. With her Husband, Adam, she has created an inspirational brand. They manufacture their products in their own workshop, and only use the best materials. Obsessive technical knowledge and exceptional design, come together to create something quite original.
Get a cup of tea, and have a look at their online shop. They do ship internationally so don't worry! My favorites are the Million Dollar View lampshade....

...wall decals....
...The Kings Park Coaster set..
...Tea Party Hair slides.....I have these and they look really cute xx
...and the Paris Street view Card holder.....Really handy for your oyster card!

Pencil Cases
I love these giant pencil cases by Lale Rose, in Paperchase. They feel so nostalgic and the colours are gorgeous. They don't seem to have the range on their website at the moment, but if you are in London, head to Tottenham Court Rd Paperchase, and treat yourself!

A Collection A Day
I have just discovered Lisa Congdon 's truly amazing book...A Collection A Day It is a 1 year diary of her documenting collections of objects.
She says on her website:
'from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. On each of those 365 days, I would post a photograph of one of my own collections or a drawing or painting of an imagined collection on a blog called A Collection a Day.'
Well I think this is so inspiring, I have always had a fascination with collections, so this really excites me.
She photographs and illustrates her collections and the variety of objects is almost too much!. I think I need to buy the book.
Here is a link to the original blog.

Laura Spring
I have followed Laura Springs colourful collection, since I saw her at Top Drawer last year, where she exhibited in the Spotted area. Based in Glassgow, her work is inspired by the weather, I especially love the playful colours and prints.. I'm very excited as she has just added a pencil case and a duffel bag to her range....I want them both! View the collection here.
She is also available for commissions.
